Finding the proper path
A thick book, lying on a desk in a monastery, hidden in the mountains. Nicely formed letters fill the pages, clearly the hand of an educated person.

The joy of the fall fest, the joy of seeing many new faces. A helping hand here and there and the warm feeling of gratitude. A little Blue Knight dashing forward and backward, enjoying the open blue skies our land has been blessed with these last few days. If I didn’t know any better, I’d almost think the demon threat seems far away now.

With my belly full of fall festival food and my pack filled with candy, I made a stroll to see where my feet would take me. I landed in a strange cavern. I had been there before, and I remembered the corridors of that place to be very disorientating, more than once encountering my own footprints. This time I took care of my steps, … taking note of certain landmarks to remember my way. Passing a forest of roots, a hole and some strange looking eggs I finally landed at the infamous mirror pool. There I took some rest, but it wasn’t long or masses of strange creatures approached. Drawn by the smell of sweet candy, they tried to reach for my pack. They didn’t dare to attack me, looking suspiciously at my armour and axe, but they seemed rather starved and eager to get their hands (if that’s what you can call them) on the sweets. I sighed and pittied the creatures, and decided to toss them a few candyballs. Like rabid beasts they jumped on them, almost tearing eachother apart, so I quickly threw some more until my pack was empty. With a chuckle I remembered feeding birds in the monastery. Satisfied they limped off and left me to my thoughts near the pool. How strange these creatures are. I just hope they don’t expect every adventurer to bring them a bag full of candy.
